Katie and Alex are incredibly and genuinely nice people, with awesome smiles and a big love. I really enjoyed the story Katie’s dad told during his toast. Apparently, when Katie was quite young, she was coloring in her Disney coloring book and asked her dad, “Why do people get married?” He answered something to the effect of, “When two people love each other and get along and have good chemistry, they want to spend their lives together.” Something like that. Well, the only part of the explanation that stuck with Katie was the chemistry part, and shortly thereafter she asked, “So, do you and Mom have good chemicals?” Ha! The story is cute, but I liked it because it really is the best way to describe Katie and Alex together – good chemicals!

So, the boat used in the movie Wedding Crashers (Woodwind II) just happened to be docked right behind the Marriott. And they let us on! How cool is that? 🙂
