I love these guys! Every time I take photos of the Potomac Fever crowd, I learn a few more names and faces. And sometimes those names and faces get engaged and turn into people I call friends. Which is exactly the case with Bobby and Matt. I was so excited to shoot their wedding from the beginning, but have to admit I was slightly concerned from a photography standpoint when I heard the ceremony and reception were going to be in a black box theatre. Like, totally black. Floors, walls, ceiling, you get the picture. But that was before I knew how cool a black box could look! Shooting a wedding at the Atlas was a really neat and unique experience, because it’s a working performing arts center with real life dressing rooms and actors! Anyway, it was so fun seeing Bobby and Matt completely in their element with all their awesome families and friends and the huge amount of love in the room. Could not be happier for these two – they totally deserve it!
And the cutest puppy ever award goes to…
One of my favorite pictures – me and all the couples whose weddings I’ve photographed! So fun. To my left are Matt and Kyle, two of my really early-on clients whom I partially credit with helping my wedding business get off the ground. Seriously! They tell everyone in the group, “You have to use Emily!” which I love. Thanks guys!!
