I must confess, I tried talking Nicole and Vedran out of going to the Lincoln for their DC engagement session. Not because I don’t love it, but because it’s slightly scaffolded and under renovation at the moment. The columns are inaccessible, and I knew there would be too many people to use the front of the building. Best part: all of this forced me to be creative with the other areas nearby, which I definitely would have never used otherwise! Sometimes it’s important to look around and find things other than just the obvious.
I like all of these images so much, but it could be because I like Nicole and Vedran so much. Nicole and I hit it off at our initial meeting, and now four months later I feel like she’s been my friend forever. Incredibly excited to see these two tie the knot in March!

This session is absolutely gorgeous! I love how it feels like DC without being the typical cliche DC session. Nailed it!
Wow! These are amazing Emily. I love that you were able to get creative and use different parts of the Lincoln but still get the monument in your session! Love so much!
Oh my gosh…you did such a great job with these in the full sun! Love the last golden hour pics as well!!
